About
How does science policy impact our society? A network of researchers are applying tools of science to understand the impact of our nation’s science policy on America’s innovation, economy, and society. By conducting research to develop models, analytical tools, data and metrics, decision makers are able to better understand the impact and allocation of scientific resources. The Science of Science and Innovation Policy (SciSIP) program is one of many funders who support this area of research. This research spans across the social, behavioral, and economic sciences as well as across domain-specific applications like medicine or robotics.
History of the Site
This website was developed under a project funded by NSF grant #1721279 and administered by the Fung Institute of UC Berkeley. It illustrates the impact that research like that conducted under NSF’s Science of Science and Innovation Policy Program, can have. This website intends to enhance the diffusion of this kind of research and to bring the community together. Here, you can find the latest science and innovation policy research, as well as information on the Principal Investigators behind those studies.
Get Involved
In addition to publishing studies funded by the SciSIP program, this website seeks to encourage participation from all stakeholders with an interest in science and innovation policy. Truly, this vibrant community is a sum of the participation of all our members. We invite you to explore this site, as well as the NSF SciSIP page to learn more about the official program, including grant information and guidelines.
