Benjamin Balsmeier

Benjamin Balsmeier is Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Luxembourg since June 2017. Prior to joining University of Luxembourg he was a senior researcher at ETH Zurich and Acting Professor of International Management and Corporate Strategy at the University of Freiberg. He has gained experience as an expert for empirical policy evaluation at the German Monopolies Commission. He is a research fellow at the Flemish Science Foundation at KU Leuven, visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, and visiting scholar at the University of Melbourne. He also holds an affiliation with the KOF Swiss Economic Institute at ETH Zurich as a research professor. Parts of his research on innovation, corporate governance and entrepreneurship appeared in the Journal of Financial Economics.
